This is a really great mask and kids will love it! You can use some stitching or if not just use glue if you are not confident sewing or do not have access to a sewing machine.
Materials required:
Felt – 3 colours plus one additional piece for backing, see the templates below for the sizes of felt required.
- Felt – 3 colours plus one additional piece for the backing of the mask – see the templates below for the sizes of the felt required.
- Good craft glue
- Sewing machine and threads (if using) – if not a needle and thread for a small amount of hand stitching
- Elastic – 5mm good stretch elastic – 35cm long
Instructions
Cut out the pieces:
- 1 x backing piece
- 1 x mask piece
- 2 x eyebrows
- 2 x brows
- 2 x sloping pieces
- 1 x central piece
Construction
1 – take the backing piece and glue it onto it the mask piece
2 – take the central piece and glue this onto the mask
3 – take the sloping pieces and glue these on
4 – if stitching – stitch around the outer edge of the mask from the edge of the first yellow sloping piece to the edge of the second one – going all the way around the mask edge

5 – take each brow piece and do the decorative stitching to add texture – I used stitch number 37 on my sewing machine shown here:

6 – take the brow pieces and glue these on
7 – take the eyebrow pieces and glue these on
8 – if you are stitching – stitch around the eyes to add a neat finish
9 – take the elastic and hold these in place on the back around the line of the top of the eye – stitch at the edge of the mask and then a bit further along the mask to ensure it is secure. If you do not have a machine – this is the only bit of sewing you will need to do which can be done by hand.

10 -The mask is then done.
